Suez Canal

May 30th, 31st 2002

Very hot, barren and fly-ridden, but it's nice to say you went through it. The most memorable thing about the Suez Canal was that we managed to stage some sort of a full-moon party on deck while we were floating overnight at the mouth of it. Some questionable music and DJs, to be sure, although a lot of it was pretty good actually, and the location was unbeatable.

Seeing as I finished the night by stepping in a bucket of paint and leaving an easily-followable trail to the dining room where I had attained such a state that I could listen to the people at my table discussing me in the third person right in front of my face...not much was achieved that day except watching us slowly cruise through the canal and catching a big Egyptian sunset before pulling into Port Said.
